Produced specifically for modelling North American style track with close-spaced sleepers or ties, the Peco code 83 range incorporates years of experience in the manufacture of realistic and robust model railway track. The turnouts follow prototypical design with numbered crossings or frogs, representing a diverging angle in a similar manner to a gradient. Unlike the Streamline range these points have differing diverging angles for each number, so need to be paired to keep tracks parallel. No.5 frogs have a similar diverging angle to the Streamline points, however care would be needed to ensure a smooth joint is made between the two rail sizes.
