Sent new to the Western region 47237 passed through the hands of DRS before moving back to Gloucester with spot-hire freight operator Advenza. The real locomotive is still stored at Gloucester station. ViTrains provide a heavy chassis to propel their 47s, allowing realistic trains to be hauled. The class 59 locomotives were the first EMD locomotives in mainline service in the UK. The deisgn was initiated by aggregates comany Foster Yeoman, seeking powerful and reliable motive power for their stone trains. The locomotives now operated by DB Schenker were built for hauling National Power coal trains and passed theough EWS ownership.

This model carries the latest DB Schenker red livery which is steadily being applied to the former EWS locomotive fleet.

Hornbys' class 60 model is probably the best British OO diesel locomotive model produced to date. Among the wealth of details the characteristic see-through grilles in the bodyshell have been reproduced, along with the internal equipment.

This model of 60029 is painted in the current EWS maroon and gold livery. Many class 60s have been reactivated recently, working alongside the class 66s. This model is DCC Ready and can be supplied with a decoder fitted if required.

The complex livery has been accurately replicated for this OO model of 66411, using the new bodyshell and chassis to correctly model the revised low-emissions version of the class 66. The chassis retains the powerful motor driving all six axles, directional lighting and 21-pin DCC socket.

Partnering with logistics specialists Malcolm Logistics DRS 66412 has been painted in this special Malcolm Rail livery for the trunk haulage of containerised freight, taking heavy lorries off the motorway network.

The class 73 locomotive was designed to operate from the Southern region third-rail power supply or from an auxiliary diesel engine for use in sidings.

This model from the former Lima range captures the character of these locomotives very well and now features an improved drive mechanism.

GB Railfreight operate several members of the class, including 73 204 on goods services in the South-East and on special passenger trains using hauled stock. The GBRf 73s have been popular visitors to many preserved railway diesel galas, so these locomotivers can often be seen well away from the former Southern region.
