59206 was one of the first locomotives to be repainted into the DB Schenker red livery after the German rail freight company bought EWS.
The class 59 locomotives were designed to the specifications of aggregate quarrying company Foster Yeoman, with a second batch being ordered for ARC. National Power also took up the option of dedicated locomotives, a batch ordering near-identical to the ARC locos, but capable of 75mph maximum speed vs the 60mph limit of the aggregate company locomotives.
During the process of rail privatisation National Powers' coal traffic was sought-after business and EWS obtained the contract, taking ownership of the locomotives. Being slightly different to the standard class 66 the 59/2s have in recent years been found working alongside the Foster Yeoman and ARC/Hanson 59s from the Westbury area, where crews and fitters are familiar with the class.

This Dapol model features etched grilles and separately fitted handrails, with the tooling designed carefully to model the design changes made between the three sub-classes.

The Class 66 is a Co-Co diesel-electric freight locomotive introduced to Britain in June 1998. Over 500 locomotives were built, the final one being delivered to GB Railfreight in the spring of 2016. No. 66623 ‘Bill Bolsover’, named to honour the chairman of Aggregate Industries, was delivered to Freightliner UK in February 2007, entering the UK via Newport docks aboard the ship ‘MV Fairload’. The locomotive initially carried a Bardon Aggregates blue livery however with the eventual loss of the Bardon traffic, 66623 reverted to Freightliner branding, but kept the old Bardon base livery, a situation that remained until 29 March 2019 when the locomotive was de-named and repainted into the new Genesee & Wyoming/Freightliner livery of orange with black stripes.

Nicely detailed model of DRS class 66 diesel locomotive 66434 painted in the distinctive Malcolm Rail livery applied to mark the long-term partnership of DRS and logistics specialists Malcolm Group for rail haulage between the Midlands and central Scotland.

No. 47813 has operated under BR, First Great Western, Cotswold Rail, Rail Operations Group (ROG) and most recently Direct Rail Services. This model depicts the locomotive during its ROG tenure.

Network Rail leased six Class 57s fitted with either tightlock couplings or Dellner couplers enabling them to be used as rescue engines for EMUs in the south of England, with the locomotives having fulfilled a similar function as Virgin Train Thunderbirds on the ECML.

In 2007 newly formed Colas Rail unveiled four newly liveried Class 47 locomotives, having previously relied on hired Class 57s to fulfil its timber hauling contracts. This was early evidence of the ambition Colas Rail had to obtain and grow its own fleet of freight locomotives. The first two locomotives to be overhauled ready for service were No. 47727 ‘Rebecca’ and No. 47749 ‘Demelza’. In April 2016 locomotive No. 47749 had its original name 'City of Truro' restored.

Between 2016 and 2017, ROG purchased a total of five Class 47 locomotives from Riviera Trains and Direct Rail Services to complement their Class 37s. The first Class 47 obtained was No. 47812 which was modified at Arlington Fleet Services’ Eastleigh Works, including the fitting of Dellner couplings to enable the haulage of EMUs. The locomotive was built in 1965 and had previously served with Virgin Trains and Riviera Trains.

Delivered into Newport Docks on board the MV Stellamare in May 1999, 66113 entered service with the EWS livery of maroon bodyside and roof, with zigzag yellow stripes, EWS branding on the cabs and large EWS branding on the bodysides. The locomotive was transferred to DB Schenker (Later DB Cargo UK) in January 2009 after their buyout of EWS. On the 4th of June 2020, following the end of the weekly ‘Clap for our Carers’, the locomotive received a new livery design featuring a depiction of key workers, along with the message ‘Delivering For Our Key Workers’. 977723 started out life as 55021 under BR. In 1994 the unit was photographed wearing the Network South East livery with its departmental number of 977723 where it served as a route learning unit as well as a sandite application vehicle. The locomotive would wear the Railtrack livery This Railroad model features a simplified running mechanism including a three pole motor and more of a direct drive to the motor, as such it is an ideal starter model. The model has an 8 pin DCC socket for those who which to run the model on a digital layout and a more robust body is the perfect way to avoid damage to the model as a beginner.

67005 is one locomotive assigned to the royal train, a service it has been responsible for since 2004. Initially in EWS maroon, the locomotive would later be named 'Queen's Messenger' 67005 is painted in the royal claret livery and operated by DB Schenker tasked with hauling members of the royal family around the UK.

This Railroad model fitted with a 3 pole motor and simple gearing, proving to be a reliable runner on any layout. The 8 pin DCC socket allows the model to be used on a digital layout where required and its railroad specification makes it ideal as a starter model.

The Class 66 is a Co-Co diesel-electric freight locomotive introduced to Britain in June 1998. Over 500 locomotives were built, the final one being delivered to GB Railfreight in the spring of 2016. The Class 67 locomotives are a Class of Bo-Bo diesel-electric locomotives which were built for the English Welsh & Scottish Railway (EWS) between 1999 and 2000 by Alstom at Meinfesa in Valencia, Spain with drive components (engine, generator and traction motors) from General Motors' Electro-Motive Division. The locomotives are able to supply Electric Train Supply for passenger train heating and air-conditioning, and are equipped for buffer and screw coupling and also coupling via a buckeye coupler attached on a swing arm mount. High speed running tests were undertaken with 67002 starting at Alstom's facility at La Sagra (Toledo, Spain) and running on the standard gauge Madrid-Toledo high-speed rail line. A top speed of 143 miles per hour was obtained. Initially the Class were used primarily on mail trains. In June 2003 EWS lost the Royal Mail mail train contract, with services diminishing to complete cessation in March 2004. The locomotives have since been used by First ScotRail on the Caledonian Sleeper on non-electrified lines north of Edinburgh. In April 2015, A staple of Hornby since 2006, when we produced our first BR Class 67 in Dublo.

20189 entered BR service in 1967 as D8189 delivered to a shed in Nottingham. The locomotive would be renumbered under TOPS to 20189 and withdrawn from BR service in September 1990. The locomotive is currently preserved by 20189 Ltd in its original 20/0 condition and is mainline certified. The locomotive is painted in a BR Blue livery with Loram Rail decals, having been one of two of the class to be briefly painted in a Balfour Beatty white and blue livery.

The Class 20 model is fitted with a three pole motor connected to the motor bogie via a driveshaft and worm. Traction tyres give the model extra pulling power and an 8 pin DCC socket allow for digital operation.

A highly detailed model of the British Railways Southern region class 73 electro-diesel locomotives. These are primarily third-rail electric locomotives but carry an auxiliary diesel engine for use away from electrified lines. Dapols model features a diecast chassis and all-wheel drive from a centrally mounted motor and flywheels allied to a highly detailed bodyshell with many separately fitted locomotive specific details to create both JA (73/0) and JB (73/1) variants.
This model is finished as GB Railfrieght class 73/1 locomotive 73109 named Battle of Britain in GBRf blue & orange livery.

This model replicates D4100 as preserved at the Severn Valley Railway, Kidderminster painted in the classic BR green livery with wasp striped ends and BR lion holding wheel crests.
Class 09 is a sub-type of the BR standard 400bhp class 08 shunters which were geared to give a higher maximum speed. Intended for service on the Southern region many of these locomotives were equipped with high level brake lines for shunting multiple unit stock.
The locomotive was named 'Dick Hardy' in honour of Richard 'Dick' Hardy who was a Divisional Manager with BR and oversaw various railway changes.

Produced under an exclusive agreement with GBRf, the Branchline model has been painstakingly developed hand-in-hand with the introduction of the GBRf fleet. With the Class 69s being built from donor locomotives that were first built by three different works and have themselves seen almost fifty years of use and modification, Bachmann has worked closely with GBRf to accommodate any detail differences that were present on the donors and have remained apparent on the rebuilt machines, along with any changes made to the final design of the Class 69 during the ongoing build programme.
This diligent approach has resulted in a truly magnificent model which befits the Branchline name, capturing the Class 56 shape to a tee alongside the modern adornments and many changes made to the locomotives to create the 69s.
The bodyshell features crisp, accurate mouldings to depict the main features along with separately fitted parts, including etched bodyside and roof fan grilles, metal windscreen wipers and separately fitted driver’s door handrails. Inside the cab there is interior detailing which will be decorated appropriately whilst machine room detailing is visible through the bodyside grilles. The underframe equipment is all present and correct, composed of many separate parts along with sandboxes and sandpipes and sprung metal buffers, but it is the bogies that really bring this model to life. It’s hard to describe these as anything but a work of art, using countless separate components to model every aspect of the bogie in full relief, from the brakes to the suspension, even down to the separately fitted bogie-body securing chains.

Model of ex-BR class 08 diesel shunting locomotive 08818 Molly.
This locomotive is owned by HNRail, the Harry Needle Railroad Company, and on lease to GB Railfreight for depot an contract shunting duties.
The locomotive is modelled in GBRf blue livery with orange cab and named MOLLY, following the GBRf practice of naming ex-BR locomotives after the wives of staff and crew members.

Locomotive 73109 would be introduced as E6015 in January of 1966. After leaving BR service at the onset of privatisation the locomotive would be painted in the Network South East livery and named in honour of the memory of the Battle of Britain. The locomotive would keep this name, albeit in an updated format for the rest of its life. As of 2023, the locomotive is in service with GB Railfreight.

Our No. 66754 model is painted in the classic GBRf blue livery. It includes two etched nameplates of ‘Northampton Saints’. This model is fitted with the Hornby HM7000 21-Pin DCC sound decoder with Class 66 HM7000 sound profile. The accessory bag contains a pair of snow ploughs, four vac pipes and two moulded coupling links.
