A welcome return of the former Lima model of the EWS class 67 locomotive, fitted with a centrally mounted motor providing drive to all four axles. The bodyshell is finely detailed and a wire roof grille cover is fitted, greatly enhancing the roof features. Hornby have updated the model with a DCC socket for easy conversion to digital control. A pack of additional detil parts is supplied, including a dummy screw coupling, brake hoses, ETS jumpers and fixed pilot extension plates.

Originally built for EWS parcels and post office trains, these locomotives are also often seen hauling extra passenger trains and railtours. Now transferred to the general freight locomotive pool a class 67 makes an interesting change to the standard class 66! | |
