The distinctive roof profile of the 57 is accurately reproduced with very finely moulded cantrail louvers, grilles over the cooling fans and the new radiator panels. The angular engine exhaust system and revised roof cover panels feature bolt detailing, plus hinge and latch details on access hatches. Revised locomotive ends carry the two high intensity headlights over each buffer, with direction-controlled illumination. Separate cab and nose handrails are factory fitted, but optional parts are supplied for bufferbeam detail, included dummy coupling hooks, brake pipes, mini-plows, cable receptacles and jumper cables. NEM coupler pockets are fitted, with slimline tension-lock couplers or NEM coupling bars supplied.
