This, plus a powerful 5 pole motor, gives a very good haulage capacity - up to 15 coaches on level track. Heljan OO Class 27 D5385 BR Green with Small Yellow Panels (2706)

Painted in the BR green livery with small yellow warning panels from the 1960s, this model carries the original number of D5385. Originally this locomotive was sent to the London Midland region for suburban services operating from St. Pancras, the former Midland railway terminus.

The Heljan model has a heavy diecast chassis powered by a centrally mounted motor with flywheels providing drive to all four axles. The bodyshell is very finely moulded, with highly effective grille detailing. Scale screw couplings are fitted to both bufferbeams, with NEM sockets provided for attaching alternative couplings. A bag of additional detailing parts is supplied, including tension-lock couplers.
