Virgin Trains introduced these tailitng 5-car super voyager trains for the Cross Country franchise and West Coast services over non-electrified routes. While the 4-car Voyagers mostly received geographic names the Super Voyagers were named after famous voyagers and explorers. Unit 221 122 was named after the fictional time voyager, Doctor Who.
Bachmanns excellent model of these stylish trains supplies a complete 5-car train, driven by a centrally mounted motor driving all four axles of one car.
