The first of the modern diesel unit trains the class 150 was developed from the experimental use of bus bodyshell construction techniques. Power operated sliding doors replaced slam doors, allowing a wider door opening and quicker passenger boarding.
The Bachmann model features tinted glazing, directional lighting and a 5 pole motor with flywheels for smooth running.
