Bachmann have advised that delivery is expected Feb/March 2009.

A 4-car third rail electric unit has long been on the wishlist of many modellers. This model of the BR design CEP, based on the BR Mk.1 coach design. Originally built for the Kent coast electrification scheme this model carries the BR corporate blue and grey livery, used from the late 1960s until the 1980s.

The 4 CEP units were sent for refurbishment from 1979, following an intial pilot in 1975. The refurbishment included the alteration of the guards' accomodation, moving the guard from behind the cab at each end to a single central office in the composite coach. This Bachmann model will be in the pre-refurbished condition.
