The Granite City Express train set brings the steam era in Scotland to life with a LMS Black 5 class 4-6-0 locomotive in British Railways' lined black livery. These locomotives were well matched to the difficult Scottish routes and the set includes four BR Mk.1 coaches the maroon livery, providing a representative portion of an express passenger train.

An oval of track measuring 648mm/25½in by 474mm/18¾in is supplied, together with a controller and mains power transformer. Additional track and points can be added from the Peco Setrack range.
