An impressive piece of trackwork which incoporates four turnouts and a crossing. The scissors crossover allowed trains from either track to cross to the other track and was often found at the entry to terminus stations, allowing trains to access platforms on both sides of a double track line and be routed onto the correct track on departure. This can be difficult to assemble from individual track components, so this preassembled crossover is a great help!
