The GWR cattle wagons were equiped with vacuum train brakes, allowing them to be run in fast trains. These wagons were often throughly cleansed ready for use???on the express???fruit and vegetable trains from the South West during the annual harvest.

This model of the GWR cattle wagon shows further modifications made to a substantial number of vehicles with van style doors and planked-over upper panels, converting these wagons more permanently into???fruit vans.

The large???GWR Fruit D express fruit van is returning with improved tooling. This model is painted in the GWRs' brown livery with 1934 roundel or shirtbutton logo.

This open coal wagon, equiped with an end door, carries the LMS goods grey livery, complete with bodyside diagonal stripe intended to allow tipper operators to quickly identify which end the door was.

The GWR was a great promoter of larger capacity wagons in the 1930s, by which time the company already had many of these 20-ton capacity wagons in their own service.

The 20-ton loco coal wagon is very useful for GWR modelers. These???could be sent singly to country depots, supplying a weeks' worth of coal for branchline locomotives, or formed into longer trains to supply a major shed which might empty several of them every day.

The GWR cattle wagon changed little during the 20th century, being a much more modern design compared to the other companies cattle wagons when it was first built. The GWR design was adopted almost unaltered by British Railways as the standard cattle wagon, sllowing this model of the GWR wagon to represent the BR type as well.

This model carries the GWR goods grey livery with the late 1930s small style of lettering.

3 plank drop-side wagon as used by the civil engineers on???the LMS. These multi-purpose wagons were used for carrying materials and removing waste ballast and spoil.

Bogie bolster wagons are used to convey loads which are too long to fit into standard open wagons. This LMS grey bolster is a fine model of the type with detail including deck planking and movable bolster stakes.

A new version of the distinctive Southern Railway box van with evenly planked sides. Painted in the Southern's dark brown livery with large S R lettering.

GWR-liveried version of the Southern 2+2 planked box van.

The Southern Railway built batches of their standard box vans with the distincive alternating broad and narrow planks for all of the major railway companies during WW2. This model depicts one of these vans in service with the GWR.

A model of the LNER design steel-bodied open merchandise wagon fitted with wood doors. A devlopment of this wagons design became the BR standard pattern.
