The Mk.3 TFO coaches provide the first class accomodation on HST trains. Usually 2 first class coaches are used in a full 8-car train formation, if you have the space for a full-length train!

This coach is painted in the livery of First Great Western, these trains being used on the Great Western routes from London Paddington to Bristol, Gloucester/Cheltenham, South Wales and the South West. First Great Western is one of the major users of the BR HST trains, having extensively refurbished the trains, improving passenger comfort and ensuring the trains will serve for many more years.

The Mk.3 Buffet coach is normally formed between the first and second class portions of the train.

The buffet is usually equiped to supply a small number of meals if required, however the majority of the serving space is utilised as a buffet counter.

The Mk.3 TGS coach is formed with the guards' van next to the locomotive at the standard class end of HST coach sets. The car contains seating for standard class passengers for most of it's length, with window bay used to create an office for the guard with limited accomodation for luggage and bicycles.

Originally built for use on the West Coast Mainline these Mk3 coaches are now in service with One Anglia on express trains into East Anglia.

Hornby have announced that they have a modle of the BR Mk.3 DVT, driving van trailer coach under production. These coaches were used at the end of a passenger train with a locomotive at the other end to allow the train to be worked in a push-pull mode, similar to HST and multiple-unit trains. This eliminated the need to uncouple and move the locomotive to the front end when reversing the train.

This model will be painted in the livery of East Anglia train operater One Railway.

To supplement the Pendolino trains used on the West Coast route Virgin Trains operate a set of Mk.3 coaches with a locomotive in push-pull mode.

This coach pack contains provides the Pendolino liveried coaches to form the core  stock of this train.

A class 90 locomotive and Pendolino liveried diriving trailer DVT will be released as R2955. Extra coaches will also be available in this livery, first class coach R4432 and standard class coach R4433 to allow a longer train to be assembled.

One of the new services opened up in recent years has been the Wrexham and Shropshire companys' service to London. The train is operated in push-pull mode by a class 67 locomotive and a driving van trailer (DVT), available as pack R2951.
This coach pack contains the Mk.3 coaching stock in the matching Wrexham and Shropshire livery.

Mk.3 restaurant car painted in the EWS business train livery. Used by EWS managers to entertain customers representatives on scenic tours and visits to rail freight facilities.

Driving Van Trailers of DVTs were used to convert trains to push-pull operation. The car contains accomodation for the train guard and passenger luggage with a driving cab at the outer end. Trains wiring allows the driver to control the locomotive at the other end of the train.

This model will be painted in the BR InterCity livery of the 1980s and early 90s.
