Locomotive Decoders

Motor output 1A, 1.8A peak, 5A stall. Size : Length 18mm x Width 14mm x Height 3.5mm. Mounting plug is set centrally across the decoder, requires approx 10mm clearance each side of the socket centreline.

Based on the high quality and highly capable Soundtraxx MC1 decoder a wide range of user configurable CVs allow the decoder to be tuned and matched to most model railway locomotive motors. A continuous rating of 1 amp is available, making the decoder suitable for N, OO/HO and even small O gauge locomotives. Two function outputs are available with a 100mA maximum load on each.
Supports 14, 28 and 128 speed steps with back EMF regulation and 15.6kHz PWM speed control, short and long (extended) addressing, advanced consist addressing (for double-heading and multiple units) , adjustable acceleration/deceleration rates. The decoder has 15 pre-set speed curves, allowing fine control speed ranges to be adjusted and supports user-defined speed curves with 28 reference points.

The DCC93 is a 6 pin direct plug decoder which is most suited to N Scale locomotives. It can also be used in some HO/OO locomotives.

Dapols Imperium 6 decoder is the Plux22 connection version of the Imperium series of small size 8 function MTC decoders offering a 1amp rating, 2amp peak and 100mA function output.

Dapols Imperium 2 decoder is the Next18 connection version of the Imperium series of small size 6 function MTC decoders offering a 1amp rating, 2amp peak and 100mA function output.
Decoder size to be confirmed. The 21 pin version measures 15mm across the connector, 17mm length. 10 years warranty against failure in normal use.

The DCC92 is a 8 pin decoder with a fitted 45mm harness between the pins and the decoder. An ideal decoder for retrofitting into non DCC Ready locomotives.

The DCC99 is the PowerPal and is designed to keep your locomotives running through dirty or dead track sections. Once a bad bit of track is detected the capacitors kick in and keep the motion, lights and sounds alive until power is restored. The time period can change depending on the decoder that the PowerPal is fitted to.

DCC Concepts Zen N68 2 Function Decoder with Stay Alive

Like the larger Zen decoders the N68 features very smooth motor drive characteristics which allow for slow speed running even inside N scale locomotives along with a separate stay alive unit.
A 6 pin to 8 pin connection lead is supplied making this decoder ideal for small OO locos with limited decoder space.

Add Bluetooth and Smartphone/tablet control to your existing Hornby DCC Controllers! The dongle works with all Hornby DCC decoders - including the Elite, Select and Railmaster. This will allow the HM | DCC app to control of all your previous non-Bluetooth decoders.
The Legacy Dongle works via the XpressNet socket - this is a common socket included in many other brands of DCC Controller, however, Hornby are unable to confirm if the Dongle will work seamlessly with other brands of controller.
