If locomotives are to work on DCC layouts they must be fitted with a control chip - the decoder. DCC Ready locomotives are provided with a NEM socket into which the decoder chip can be easily plugged. Locomotives without the NEM socket can be fitted with wired decoders. Reference to the Peco Shows You How booklet is recommended for guidance.

Antics can supply your new DCC Ready OO gauge locomotive with the decoder installed!
At an extra charge of just £5.00 we can fit a decoder to a DCC Ready locomotive, needing only the programming of a suitable unused address to be done by you. Select your DCC Ready OO gauge locomotive, then add this service to your order, either selecting a decoder or requesting us to supply a suitable decoder (use the other instructions box of the checkout screen).
We will deliver your DCC locomotive with the decoder fitted and tested.

List of decoders

Installation offer applies to the web purchase from Antics of a new DCC Ready OO gauge locomotive and plug equiped decoder. Add Decoder Installation to the same order. The charge of £5.00 will be made per locomotive.
Please note that there will be a short delay in the delivery of your order for the decoder to be installed and tested.
We cannot fit decoders to non-DCC Ready locomotives or N gauge models at this time.
We regret that this offer is not available through Antics shops at present.
