Clean track and locomotive wheels are essential for reliable running on any model railway. Track cleaning rubbers are useful to remove heavy dirt and corrosion from the rails, while the axle-hung pads polish your tracks as the trains run. Locomotive driving wheels can quickly be cleaned using Pecos' wheel cleaning brush.
Lubrication is also essential for bearings, the Expo oiler is especially useful for placing a drop of oil into the wheel bearings on coaches and wagons. Always refer to the manufacturers' maintenance leaflet for oiling points on locomotives, most manufacturers have copies of these available on their web sites.

Peco Rail Cleaner/Track Rubber (PL41)
An abrasive rubber block that is absolutely ideal for cleaning dirty or corroded rail surfaces. Great for Scalextric or slot car track too. Helps ensure good electrical contact, particularly if the track is wiped over lightly afterwards with Electrolube or Rail Zip on a soft cloth.
