| > OO Coaches & Wagons > BR Coaches Corporate | | British Rail's new corporate image of the mid-1960's saw the introduction of the familiar blue and grey passenger coach livery, along with the InterCity express train marketing brand. Plain blue diesel and electric locomotives hauled these coaches across the country for many years, with progressive advances in speed and passenger comfort. In the mid-1980's brightly coloured sector liveries began to appear, with principal expresses gaining a distinctive InterCity livery, while Network South East formed a coherent image for the commuter belt. | Bachmann OO BR MkI Corridor SK Blue/Grey (39-025C)
The second class side corridor coach was probably the most common type of British passenger coach until the 1970's. This superbly detailed model of the BR Mk1 SK wears the corporate blue anmd grey livery, seen from the mid-1960's onwards. Equiped with metal wheels in BR Comonwealth style bogies, full roof, corridor end and underframe detail is fitted.
Coach number E25832 represents an Eastern region allocated vehicle, but this coach would normally have been seen far from the east coast as BR's network of cross-country trains expanded during this livery period.
