Graham Farish N Scenecraft Explosives Magazine Hampton Heath Colliery (42-029)
A ready built and painted resin model of an explosives magazine. This substantial building with heavy doors was used to store explosives safely and ensure that only authorised persons could obtain explosives. Explosives stores would also be found at quarries and any other locations or operations where explosives are used regularly.
Although many well-known collierys featured large complexes of buildings and sidings a smaller colliery can easily be recreated with Scenecraft buildings. Several of the small operations in the North Somerset coal field had only the most basic of buildings and filled wagons from a loading bank alongside one siding. Ideal for an interesting and busy layout corner industry.
