An excellent new model of the BR engineers shark ballast plough brake van. These brake vans are used with ballast hopper wagons, the ballast plough being lowered to spread fresh ballast across the track formation.

Hornbys' model is highly detailed, including the large wheels used to lower the plows situated in each end platform. The model incorporates plenty of weight, so you can be sure it will not derail even when formed into a train of ballast hopper wagons.

This model is painted in the black and orange livery of shadow franchise freight company Loadhaul. Although a popular livery with modellers Loadhaul was combined with the other freight companies into EWS.
