Model expected autumn 2008

An excellent new model of the BR engineers shark ballast plough brake van. These brake vans are used with ballast hopper wagons, the ballast plough being lowered to spread fresh ballast across the track formation.

Hornbys' model is highly detailed, including the large wheels used to lower the plows situated in each end platform. The model incorporates plenty of weight, so you can be sure it will not derail even when formed into a train of ballast hopper wagons.

This model is painted in the BR engineers grey and yellow Dutch style livery, first introduced in the mid 1980s and still seen until about 2000.
