Bachmann OO BR Departmental Limpet 34-tonne Open Ballast/Material Carrier Wagon Grey/Yellow (38-085)
The Limpet ballast wagons re-used older air-brake equiped chassis to help replace engineering wagons built in the 1950's with more modern vehicles. Bachmann's model captures these distictive vehicles well, including the cut-out panels in the centre of the sides intended to prevent overloading with ballast, while retaining the high sides useful for many lighter track materials.
