The Seacow bogie ballast wagons were rebuilt in the 1980's from the standard Sealion design with the addition of air brake equipment, allowing these wagons to be moved by the Railfreight speedlink trains if required. The rebuilding has extended the useful life of these wagons and this model carries the maroon livery of their current owners EWS.
