The Seacow bogie ballast wagons were rebuilt in the 1980's from the standard Sealion design with the addition of air brake equipment, allowing these wagons to be moved by the Railfreight speedlink trains if required. Painted in the then current grey and yellow livery, inspired by the dutch railways locomotive scheme, the rebuilding has extended the useful life of these wagons.
