One of the classic Great Western locomotives the 61xx class 2-6-2 Large Prairie tank locomotives were designed for heavy subburban passenger services. Many of the type later moved to work on the longer branchlines and secondary passenger trains on cross-country routes.

This model of 6110 is painted in the post WW2 GWR livery with letters G W R on the side tanks. The green livery is finished with the GWR trademark copper cap chimney and polished safety valve cover.

The pannier tank was one of the workhorses of the GWR. Designed as a modern shunting engine in toe 1930s the 57xx class??????proved capable of undertaking many branchline??????and secondary duties. A 57xx could be found with local passenger or pickup goods train anywhere on the GWR system.
