New Product Announcement from Dapol. Pricing, details and release schedule to be advised. Dapol have announced the production of the famous GWR 28xx class 2-8-0. Currently in the CAD design stage the model is expected to be released in 2010/11 This model will feature the Dapol Platinum specification 'super creep' slow running motor and will be DCC ready with a 6-pin socket mounted in the tender and 14-wheel pickup to ensure reliable power collection. The chassis is being designed to traverse a curve radius down to 10½in. The chassis will be complemented by a highly detailed bodyshell, initially with the later Collett side window cab, as fitted to the 2884 class, including the 38xx number series. Swindon cabside number plates will be factory fitted etched brass plates and models will be available in GWR green, BR green and BR black liveries.
