| | stock info | Dapol N LB&SCR Crowborough Terrier Class 0-6-0 Tank Stroudley Livery (ND-100H)
Dapols' terrier 0-6-0 tank engines are excellent miniatures of these small locomotives. The mechanism has proved powerful and reliable, especially with running at shunting speeds. These locomotives are ideal for small layouts and are especially attractive in this Stroudley golden ochre 'improved' engine green livery.
The first terriers were built in 1872 to haul commuter services on the LB&SCR south and south-east of London. The locomotives were named after the towns and boroughs of the growing suburbs. The rate of growth quickly required larger locomotives and the terrier moved to the countryside, serving for many years on lightly-built branchlines. more.. | |
