Graham Farish N BR MkIIE Coach Miniature Buffet Blue/Grey (374-702A)
A very good model of the BR Mk2E air-conditioned coach as equiped with a minature buffet counter. These coaches were modified for use as replacements for the older Mk1 buffet coaches. One end seating bay and the adjacent toilet were converted to accomodate a small counter, refreshment trolley, store and hand washing facility, while customers benefitted from the comfort and air conditioning. BR blue and grey livery.
These converted coaches were also referred to as TSOT, standing for Trailer Second Open Trolley. The trolley allowed at-seat service to be offered throughout the train in addition to traditional counter service. The TSOT designation differentiated this type from the Mk1 RMB (Restaurant Miniature Buffet) which provided a larger buffet counter, but had no storage space for a trolley.
