The traditional second class side corridor coach was the most numerous type used by British Railways until the 1970s and many of these coaches remained in service into the 1980s.
This model is painted in the corporate blue and grey livery introduced in the mid 1960s and carried by many of these Mk.1 coaches until withdrawn in the late 1980s.
