Italeri 1/35 German Panther AUSF.A German Standard Tank WW2 (270)

This tank entered service in 1943 supporting the Mark IV tanks, which had difficulties to oppose the onslaught of Soviet T-34 tanks on the Eastern front. During the following two years of the war this powerful tank was present in all war zones: Italy, France as well as during the final battles on German soil. Several variants were built to explore the anti-tank role and artillery support task. This version, equipped with a 20 mm gun was the first one to be used by reconnaissance units. Italeri 1/35 Schwimmwagen German Amphibous Vehicle (313)

As the Volkswagen "82" (K'U'beiwagen) proved very successful during the campaign in Poland, it was necessary to produce ever increasing numbers of this vehicle. Later, Ferdinand Porsche developed an amphibian version of this car, called the "Schwimmwagen" The light weight of this vehicle (about 112 ton) permitted crossing of muddy areas, since only two men were sufficient to keep this vehicle moving. For reconnaissance and liaison missions, water had to be crossed frequently, which was impossible with other vehicles. The Schwimmwagen, built as an amphibious vehicle, was able to master almost any obstacle.

Italeri 1/35 US DUKW Amphibious Vehicle (6392)

This large triple shaft amphibian vehicle was developed during the 2nd World War for the American armed forces. The aim was to build a vehicle to supply ammunition, food and materials – stored in the holds of transport ships – to invading troops occupying beachheads on enemy soil immediately after landing. The DUKW offered good navigating qualities and could move well off-road too, which, combined with its high load capacity, enabled it to perform its logistic role to the full. In the post-war years, it was widely used by USA’s allies all the way through to the 70s, including civil protection assignments.

Italeri 1/35 Autobilnda AB41 Armoured Car (6442)

Officially presented at the opening of FIAT’s Mirafiori plant in May 1939 the AB 40 was at the time something of a cutting-edge vehicle. Thanks to innovative solutions such as double drive and spare wheels mounted as neutral to help get over obstacles, it was a match for any foreign rival in the same class. The AB 41 version introduced in 1941 included several improvements, yet its main weapon a 20 mm Breda 35 cannon remained the same. Capable of over 70 Kph on the road and nearly 40 Kph off road (twice that of other vehicles in the Regio Esercito), it proved effective in combat despite the defects caused by use of poor materials in the armour and the complex 4-wheel steering system. It was later replaced by the improved AB 43 version. A total of around 450 AB41s were built.

Unfortunately the AB 43 never entered into service with the Italian army as its production was only started in 1944 under the control of the German forces, which had occupied the Italian industry following the armistice in September 1943. These vehicles were distributed to many German units operating at the Italian front and were used particularly for controls and by the police in the northern regions which was subject to great partisan resistance. The few examples that survived were used by the police to maintain public order after the war.

Italeri 1/35 Camionetta AS 42 Sahariana Italian Armoured Car Kit (6452)

The model 42 Desert Vehicle was developed for the Italian Army based on the chassis and mechanics of the AB 41 armoured car. Over the course of the operations on the African front the need arose for a reconnaissance vehicle specially adapted to the desert conditions, where driving on sand required particular features (large size tyres at low pressure, height from the ground, extensive autonomy) that were not present on the currently available vehicles. The engineers eliminated the dual running direction typical of the AB 41 and the four-wheel drive. The vehicle was produced in two armament configurations: one with 20 mm cannon/machine gun and the other with 47/32 anti-tank cannon. Several dozen of these vehicles were produced after the fall of the African front, the remaining AS 42s were re-deployed in Italy, ending their career in the police force in the 1950s.

Italeri 1/35 German Sd.KFZ.139 Pzjager Marder 3 Self Propelled Gun Kit (6210)

This self propelled anti-tank was built by the Germans in 1942 in order to face the dangerous new Russian tanks and to equip their own anti-tank units with a mobile vehicle. Same body as the German Pz 38, the turret was substitute by a fixed superstructure which incorporated a 75mm Pak 40 gun. Motor and interior equipment remained unchanged and therefore the vehicle was very high, while the gunners were in a rather exposed position. From 1943 to 1944 were a total of 975 units built. Widely used in Tunisia, Russia and Italy. Remained in service with Panzerjaegerabt, on the infantry, Panzergrenadier and armoured divisions until the end of 1944.

Model length 16.3cm.

Kit requires paints and glue to complete model.

Italeri 1/48 M4 Sherman US Marine Corp Plastic Kit (6389)

During the final phase of World War II in the Pacific theatre, the American Forces began to invade territory which was still occupied by the Japanese troops. These territories allowed the use of tanks, which was not possible on the small Pacific islands. The M4 standard tank was therefore widely used and many modifications were made: snorkel air intake which was used during landing operations, additional protection through wood planks to reduce damage done by Japanese anti-tank mines.

Model length 16.8cm.

Italeri 1/35 US DUKW with 105mm Howitzer (6429)

This large triple shaft amphibian vehicle was developed during the 2nd World War for the American armed forces. The aim was to build a vehicle to supply ammunition, food and materials stored in the holds of transport ships, to invading troops occupying beachheads on enemy soil immediately after landing. The DUKW offered good navigating qualities and could move well off-road too, which combined with its high load capacity enabled it to perform its logistic role to the full. In the post-war years it was widely used by USA’s allies all the way through to the 70s, including civil protection assignments.

Italeri 1/35 SWS with Demolition Team Goliath (6434)

The Goliath was a small tracked wire-guided armoured vehicle, designed to carry a high explosive charge for the elimination of bunkers and other fortified positions, thus saving infantry from having to do the job directly. It was carried towards the front line by any means possible: this model shows it being transported with a SWS half-track. Used in the closing stages of the Second World War, it was handled by the Engineer Corps, specially trained in the use of the device.

At present the A6 version, which features ultra-modern engine and armaments control technology, is being put through trials. The new armour has also been improved in terms of both ballistics and materials, thus making the Leopard even safer for its crew. The longer-barrel gun allows use of the latest high-speed projectiles capable of penetrating even the toughest composite armours.

Italeri 1/35 Crusader Anti Aircraft Vehicle (6444)

Made for the British army this self-propelled antiaircraft gun was built around the chassis of the Crusader tank, which half-way through the Second World War had become obsolete and was unable to contend with modern enemy tanks. It was decided to transform the remaining Crusaders into self-propelled antiaircraft guns by fitting them with new turrets equipped with two 20 mm cannons. This antiaircraft Crusader of which few were produced, was then used by the British in Europe to protect armoured divisions and troops.

Italeri 1/35 German WW2 Jagdpanther Tank Destroyer Kit (6275)

The Jagdpanther is the tank destroyer version with a fixed gun based on the Panther G, which has been known as one of the best tanks of the World War II. This version with its characteristics of compact and ballistically advantageous shape was equipped with the remarkable 88mm gun. This was able to penetrate all Allied tanks, including the well protected Soviet 'Stalin' I and II. This vehicle went into production in 1944 and because of intensive Allied bombing raids against German industry, was only able to reach the front lines in limited numbers, so had virtually no impact on the war effort.

Model length 28.8cm.

Kit requires paints and glue to complete model.
