Held in a steel stillage for eace of handling this unit represents a store of pit-props.
Although many well-known collierys featured large complexes of buildings and sidings a smaller colliery can easily be recreated with Scenecraft buildings. Several of the small operations in the North Somerset coal field had only the most basic of buildings and filled wagons from a loading bank alongside one siding.
