The North British 'baby warships' did not enjoy the highest profile

from the limelight throughout the 1960s. This new, high specification
model of the BR class 22 completes one of the missing links in the
hydraulic fleet. The Dapol model represents the later body style
with split headcode boxes and will be powered by a flywheel drive
mechanism with Dapols' smooth running 'super-creep' motor and 40:1

In association with leading Japanese N gauge manufacturer Tomix, Dapol have announced that they will be producing the OO equivilent of the Tomix N gauge track cleaning car.
All the features of the world beating Tomix car have been incorporated. An abrasive pad removes corrosion and dirt deposits, while a polishing pad clears up fresh deposits and keeps your track clean. In addition the internal motor runs a vacuum system, collecting loose dirt and grit from your track. An on-board cleaning fluid reservoir allows a plastic-safe cleaning fluid to be stored and dispensed through the cleaning head automatically
The Dapol track cleaner will be equiped with an 8 pin DCC decoder socket, allowing DCC users to have full control over the motor speed at all times. An on/off switch is provided for use with DC control. NEM coupling pockets allow the car to be used with almost any coupling system, including tension lock, knuckle and pocket type couplings. Please note that the motor drives the polishing and vacuum mechanisms inside the car; the car is not self-propelled and will require to be hauled or pushed by a locomotive.
