Dapol N BR 92220 Evening Star 9F Class 2-10-0 Lined Green (ND090)
An excellent new model, of the BR 9F class 2-10-0, built to exceed the high standards set by Dapols' previous steam locomotive models. The 9F incorporates improvements suggested by many customer comments, while the design allows for many variations to be produced.
The 9F is powered using the driveshaft and tender-mounted motor arrangement introduced with the Q1 model. This allows the locomotive driving wheels to be driven without compromising the clearance between boiler and frames, a major feature of the 9F design.
92220 was the last new steam locomotive constructed for British Railways and turned out in full lined brunswick green passenger livery. 92220 is also well known as the locomotive hauling the last Pines Express over the famous Somerset and Dorset route from Bath to Bournemouth.
