Model of the standard BR 16-ton mineral wagon painted in the BR grey livery used on wagons not fitted with vacuum train brakes. This wagon will be weathered to represent a wagon with hundreds of ton-miles of revenue service behind it.

Many thousands of these wagons were built in the 1950's, many lasting into the late 1970's. The miners strike of the mid-1980's allowed the last examples to be withdrawn from revenue service.
