A privately owned steam shunting locomotive, as used by many of Britains' heavy industries during the 1950s. Painted in a plain black livery the locomotive is lettered WPR 16.
This design of saddle tank engine was developed as a simple and robust locomotive for mass manufacture during WW2. At the end of the war hundreds were sold for further use, some still in service into the 1970s. Today dozens continue to serve on heritage railways.
