more | Bachmann OO Kader 60th Anniversary Set J72 & Standard 4MT (30-060)
Marking the 60th anniversary of Kader, the parent company and manufacturer??of the??Bachmann product ranges.
This set contains two landmark locomotives produced by Kader for the British model railway market, initially as part of the Palitoy Mainline model railways range, now part of the Bachmann range.
The LNER J72 0-6-0 tank was the first British OO model produced, with the BR Standard class 4 4-6-0 following soon after. These revolutionised British model railways, setting new standards of detailing for ready-to-run OO locomotives.
Both models have been developed over the years, the popular 4MT 4-6-0 being the most recent re-release. Completely retooled, the standard 4-6-0 once again stands among the front line of British OO models for quality and detailing.
Set features J72 0-6-0 tank engine 581 in LNER apple green livery and BR standard class 4MT 4-6-0 75001 in BR lined brunswick green livery with Western region blue route clearance disc and D power classification.

Model expected 2nd quarter
Hornby added the Clan to their range of BR standard classes in 2009. This model expected in 2010 represents 72005 Clan MacGregor in the later BR livery with lion and wheel crest.
Only Clan known to have visited Bristol The Clan class loocomotives spent their service lives in the Scottish borders, but some felt the need to wander. 72005 Clan MacGregor was particularly drawn south, reaching Bristol on July 9 1960 with the 8.45pm Bradford to Bristol (Temple Meads) and returning the following morning, taking the 7.40am Paignton to Newcastle forward from Bristol. 1961 found 72005 on the south end of the former Midland and again in 1964 72005 headed for St Pancras, but was taken off the train at Leicester. These forays well away from the Clans' normal routes make 72005 one of the best choices for modellers wanting a good excuse for Clan MacGregor to visit their layout.

more | Bachmann OO BR 80154 Standard 4MT 2-6-4 Tank BR Lined Black Early Emblem (32-359)
New model announced 2010. Expected Winter 2010/11.
Built in the 1950s the 4MT 2-6-4 tank engines were intended for outer suburban passenger work, however these powerful tank engines proved very versatile and capable of hauling cross-country trains...as long as there were sufficient water stops! The 4MTs worked the local services over the famous Somerset and Dorset during the routes' final years.
The Bachmann model is powered by their proven motor and drive train, allowing relaitsic trains to be hauled with ease. The bodyshell has many separately fitted detail parts, faithfully reproducing the fittings on these locomotives.
80154 is painted in the BR mixed traffic lined black livery with the early unicycling lion emblem. more..
more | Bachmann OO BR 82020 Standard Class 3MT 2-6-2 Tank Lined Black Early Emblem (31-975A)
Second release of the popular BR standard class 3MT tank engine expected Summer 2010
A modern and highly successful design these locomotives offered a significant increase in power over the smaller class 2 versions, something which is always welcomed by footplate crews! Sadly however none of the class survived to preservation, having been replaced by multiple unit trains and the early, low-powered diesel locomotives by the mid 1960s.
This model of 82020 is painted in the BR lined black livery with early crest.

The second batch of the popular BR standard class 3MT prairies has arrived. This was a modern and highly successful design as the locomotives offered a significant increase in power over the smaller class 2 versions, always welcomed by footplate crews!
The model is extremely well detailed!
Sadly however none of the class survived to preservation, the early, low-powered diesel locomotives being produced to handle the branchline freights and passenger duties being turned over to diesel units. However there is a new project to build a new loco on the SVR well underway, with the frames having been errected at Bridgenorth.
This model of 82030 is painted in the lined brunswick green passenger livery, applied to many of the Western region locomotives in the late 1950s at their first major overhaul. In 1955 82030 was based at Shrewsbury shed.
