A new version of the excellent K3 mogul announced 2008.
A powerful and smooth running model powered by Bachmanns' proven motor and drive train the K3 is capable of hauling realistic trains with ease.
61823 is equiped with a stepped side 4,200 gallon tender painted in the BR lined black mixed traffic livery with later lion and wheel crest.
The K3's were surprisingly powerful 2-6-0's, classified as 5P6F by BR. Three 18 1/2" x 26" stroke cylinders and 5' 8" driving wheels gave a tractive effort of 30030 lb. Boiler pressure was 180psi. | |
