All orders over £40.00 are carriage paid to mainland UK addresses! | Bachmann OO BR J72 Tank 68727 Black Late Crest Weathered Version (31-058) A new version of this small shunting locomotive in late BR livery. Despite Victorian origins, these locomotives were still usefully employed in the British Railways era. The Bachmann model is smooth runnings and features very good detailing, plus accurate later BR livery details, including overhead line warning flashes. Llight weathering gives the appearance of a hard working shunting engine. The J72's actually originated in 1898 to a North Eastern Railway design by W. Wordsdell. In 1955 113 of the class were still in service. The locoshed book for the year suggests that 68727 may have found its way to Wrexham shed? Most of the class remained firmly on Eastern Region. | |
