A new release of the popular Ivatt 2MT tank engine. Designed by Ivatt as a modern branchline locomotive the type became familiar across the former LMS system on short passenger and pickup goods trains. Later the 'class 2 tank' spread to other regions, replacing obsolete Victorian locomotives on many minor routes.
The Bachmann model is ideal for modelling a branchline or secondary the early BR period, working alongside Bachmanns' recent Ivatt 2-6-0 and green liveried DMUs.
