The point motor attaches directly to the underside of the turnout to ensure positive and reliable operation. Requires a 40 x 25mm hole in the baseboard to accomodate the motor. Operation is from a passing contact switch or probe and stud system to give a pulse from the 16v AC outlet found on most transformers (2 amps required). If this isn't available an uncontrolled 12v DC supply may suffice. A constant current would burn out the motor.
