Both Hornby and Bachmann sets use standard OO/HO track which is compatible - either may be expanded with either Hornby or Peco track. The loco's and rolling stock are also compatible as the couplings are very alike and will connect without problem. Both use a mains powered controller providing a 12v variable speed supply for one locomotive. Unless stated otherwise they are ready to run once assembled.

Hornby OO The Western Pullman Train Set (R1048)

Based on the South Wales Pullman service that ran from Paddington to Swansea from 1955 to 1961, this set not only includes the excellently detailed Castle Class 'Cadbury Castle' but four Pullman cars which all help to capture the luxurious but latter days of steam hauled Pullman trains.

Track in the Set comes with Track Packs A and B, giving you two sidings in your layout, then you can add extra Track Packs as time goes by.
