Both Hornby and Bachmann sets use standard OO/HO track which is compatible - either may be expanded with either Hornby or Peco track. The loco's and rolling stock are also compatible as the couplings are very alike and will connect without problem. Both use a mains powererd controller providing a 12v variable speed supply for one locomotive. Unless stated otherwise they are ready to run once assembled.

Digital Command Control Starter Set - Digital Control of Two Engines. Everything you need to start off with Digital control and everything you would expect in a train set, but with two engines! Simple programming of these processor 'chip' fitted engines and the DCC Digital controller gives you simultaneous independant control over the speed and direction of both trains on the same track. Many engines can be fitted with DCC chips to expand your collection.
An oval of track measuring 1300mm x 990mm (51¼in x 39in) is supplied together with the Bachmann E-Z Command DCC controller and transformer.
