Both Hornby and Bachmann sets use standard OO/HO track which is compatible - either may be expanded with either Hornby or Peco track. The loco's and rolling stock are also compatible as the couplings are very alike and will connect without problem. Both use a mains powered controller providing a 12v variable speed supply for one locomotive. Unless stated otherwise they are ready to run once assembled.

The famous London to Scotland 'Flying Scotsman' train set featuring the famous LNER class A1 locomotive 4472 'Flying Scotsman' and three LNER teak coaches.
This set contains the Starter Oval track, plus extension packs A and B providing two sidings, and a track mat with locations for a station nd other lineside buildings. Extra track packs can be added to enlarge the circuit.
A copy of the Hornby Virtual Railway CD is included to help you design and test your future model railway layouts.
