A superb new train set from Hornby featuring the Virgin Pendolino train which has brought new standards of comfort and speed to the West Coast route from London to Scotland.
The set contains a four-car Pendolino train consist, with a motorised kitchen first cab car, two first class coaches and a standard class cab car. Additional coaches will be available shortly. A large oval of track is supplied, including Hornby TrakMat track packs A and B, providing two sidings, ready for extra trains. The train is controlled from Hornby's Select Digital Command Control unit, able to operate several DCC equipped trains at once on the same tracks!

This stunning four car Pendolino set is representative of Virgin Trains' latest 'state of the art' passenger rolling stock. The new Hornby four car model is ready to use straight out of the box. The large oval with two sidings ensures that there is plenty of track for the Pendolino to show off its accurate tilting mechanism especially when the train travels at speed around the bends. Each drive unit has lights that illuminate in the direction of travel but can, using the Hornby Select Unit, be independently switched on or off even when the train is in motion! The set includes a new Hornby TrakMat.
