The loco's and rolling stock are also compatible as the couplings are very alike and will connect without problem. Both use a mains powered controller providing a 12v variable speed supply for one locomotive. Unless stated otherwise they are ready to run once assembled.

This train set recalls the early days of British Rail in East Anglia, featuring the Great Eastern Railway design LNER class B12 locomotive in the experimental blue livery, along with two elderly clerestory coaches, freshly painted in BR crimson and cream. This is a typical secondary express train, providing long distance services between important country towns.
An oval of track is supplied along with a point and additional track to create a siding.
