A very special presentation boxed set replicating the famous 'Venice-Simplon Orient Express' which departed from London's Waterloo station and connected with the French railways via a Channel ferry, on the way to Venice. 

The substantial double track circuit is large enough to allow an additional train to be added at a later date to either the inner or outer oval and it is for this reason that the HM2000 twin controller (See power controller section for specification) has also been included so that two trains can be independently controlled while operating on the two seperate circuits. And when it comes to planning a larger layout, the Hornby Virtual Railway CD-Rom, also included, will help the user to do just that!

The loco and coaches are simply superb! British Railways (ex Southern Railway) Mechant Navy Class 8P 4-6-2 United States Lines locomotive, Pullman Parlour Car Cygnus, Pullman Kitchen Car Ibis and Pullman Brake Car Minerva are all fitted with table lamps that actually light when the train is in motion.  All packed in a super presentation chest!

An additional coach pack containing four more Pullman cars can be purchased to extend the length of the Orient Express train to seven coaches!

An excellent starter train set featuring the Bachmann class 25 diesel locomotive in BR blue livery along with two of the new Mk.2 coaches in the matching blue/grey livery. Control is provided by the easy-to-use Bachmann EZ-Command DCC controller and an oval of track measuring 1300mm x 990mm (51¼in x 39in) is supplied together with a point allowing a siding to be added. Simple programming allows the controller to instruct several locomotives to move independently on the same track and as you expand you can add many more functions to your set. Many model locomotives are supplied with DCC decoders and many more can quickly be converted to expand your collection.

A superb new train set from Hornby featuring the Virgin Pendolino train which has brought new standards of comfort and speed to the West Coast route from London to Scotland.
The set contains a four-car Pendolino train consist, with a motorised kitchen first cab car, two first class coaches and a standard class cab car. Additional coaches will be available shortly. A stunning train set featuring the LMS Stanier 4-6-2 locomotive 6201 Princess Elizabeth, named in honour of our present monarch in 1933. Now preserved and regularly hauling excursion trains, this locomotive hauled the Royal train during HM The Queens' Golden Jubilee tour.
This Royal Train train set recalls this historic event, featuring a superb model of 6201 hauling three coaches from the present Royal Train, painted in royal claret livery. Two of these are saloons built for use by HM The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh in the mid-1970's, the third is a brake coach, used to provide accomodation for members of the royal household.

An oval of track is supplied and two points are provided to allow sidings to be added. A power controller and mains transformer are included.
