Both Hornby and Bachmann sets use standard OO/HO track which is compatible - either may be expanded with either Hornby or Peco track. The loco's and rolling stock are also compatible as the couplings are very alike and will connect without problem. Both use a mains powererd controller providing a 12v variable speed supply for one locomotive. Unless stated otherwise they are ready to run once assembled.

Bachmann OO DCC Digital Steam Suburban Passenger Train Set (30-055)

This DCC digital starter set features an ex-GWR 56xx class 0-6-2T in BR lined green livery, with two BR Mk1. suburban coaches in maroon livery. One point and a siding are included, ideal for representing a wayside station and for storing another train.

The strong association of the GWR's 56xx class with the steeply graded South Wales valley lines gives this set an excellent setting for busy passenger and goods train action. The use of DCC for control allows you to easily add extra trains, even running two together if you wish.

The set includes an oval of track 1300 x 940mm (51 x 37in) with a point and additional track to form a siding, ideal for shunting another train out of the way! Control is provide through the Bachmann EZ-Command DCC control unit and 240v mains power transformer.

Note, Left or Right hand points are supplied at random.

Additional DCC equiped locomotives are available from Antics shops and through the web at anticsonline. Look out for DCC On Board locomotives with factory fitted decoders.
