> OO/HO Track & Buildings

The gauge of standard HO model railway track (distance between the rails) is 16.5mm - just under ¾” – locomotives and rolling stock is about 50mm or 2 inches high and is true scale at 3.5mm to the foot. Most British outline models (Hornby, Bachmann, etc.) run on this track but the bodies built to OO scale, that is, 4mm to the foot or 1:76. So most British models are HO/OO. British outline buildings are also modelled to OO scale.
