This model is painted in the BR blue livery of the 1970s with TOPS number 24035. Following the closure of many minor routes the 24s were withdrawn during the 1970s and many remember these pioneers of diesel traction during their last years.

A new version of the classic BR class 31 type 2 diesel locomotive painted in the orginal green livery.

Green was probably the main Warship livery, the class did not start receiving the maroon livery of the later Westerns until 1966, by which time the corporate rail blue livery was being agreed. Most of the class did make it into a variation of maroon for a brief time before the corporate livery wiped away the regional identities again.

D815 Druid carries the second style of maroon livery with the entire end painted in warning yellow.

Possibly the smallest ready-to-run British N gauge model, the Graham Farish 04 class diesel shunter does not compromise on detail.

A special train pack featuring Dapols' local train operating company, Wrexham & Shropshire Railway, operating daily services between Wrexham and London.

The train pack contains class 67 locomotive 67013 Dyfrbont Pontcysllte, two standard class Mk.3 coaches and a driving van trailer, all painted in the Wrexham and Shropshire livery. Etched locomotive nameplates and fitting instructions will be supplied.

This set will be suppied in Dapols' 4-vehicle presentation book boxes. A matching buffet car has been promised for in the near future.

An entirely new N gauge class 37 model featuring the original design bodyshell with split headcode boxes. 37038 represents the early BR blue period, with the buffer cowls still in place.

A retooled model featuring a new chassis incorporating directional lighting and finer detailing.

The Graham Farish BR class 37 is a nicely detailed and good running locomotive, just like the prototypes. The centrally mounted motor drives to both bogies and all wheel power collection ensures smooth and steady running.

37417 represents a refurbished member of the class, fitted with electric train supply to power air conditioned and electrically heated coaches. Painted in the revised rail blue livery with large double-arrow logo, the cab sides also carry the Highland Lines stag emblem applied to many locomotives allocated to Scotish region sheds.

The BR class 37s were very versatile locomotives and several sub-classes were formed in the 1980s to reflect modifications for specific duties. This freight version from the 37/6 sub-class carries the blue livery of 'shadow franchise' freight company Transrail.

An excellent model in N gauge of Class 47 diesel locomotive 47306 painted in Railfreight Distribution triple grey livery and carrying the name The Sapper to reflect the extensive rail freight traffic carried for the army.

The prototype locomotive is now preserved on the Bodmin Wenford Railway in Cornwall.

Twin Deltic engines with their triangular cylinder layout made the class 55 BRs most powerful express passenger locomotives for many years. This Graham Farish model captures the bulk of the locomotive, while the diecast chassis, centrally mounted motor and six-axle drive provides the power to match the prototypes' speed.

55 008 The Green Howards in BR blue

Rebuilt from class 47 locomotives with a new EMD engine fitted to an overhauled and strengthened bodyshell. These locomotives took over Freightliner container trains, an ideal and colourful addtion to post-privatistion layouts along with the Graham Farish container flats.

Freightliner class 57 locomotive

An excellent model of the striking silver and purple liveried class 57/6 prototype locomotive, as used by Poerterbrook and First Great Western to test and prove the class 57 rebuild design with electric train supply before delivery of production locomotives. 57601 operated intensively on First Great Western, hauling daytime trains formed with air conditioned Mk2 coaches and the Night Riviera sleeper service from London to Penzance until replaced by the production FGW 57/6's.

Converted from BR class 47 locomotives Virgin Trains class 57's are used to assist or rescue ailing trains. Stand-by locomotives have long been referred to as Thunderbirds, after the TV series of the same name, with Virgin Trains naming these locomotives after characters from the series.

Converted from BR class 47 locomotives Freightliner's class 57s were intended to provide reliable motive power for the new freight operator. Revised plans resulted in the company purchasing class 66s similar to EWS, however the 57 fleet continues to operate, often paired with a 66.

Converted from BR class 47 locomotives following trials of the prototype conversion 57602 (also due from Graham Farish). First Great Western ordered a small fleet of these locomotives to replace ageing class 47s on overnight sleeper train duties. The locomotives also undertake stoke movements, assist and rescue duties for First Great Western.

The Freightliner class 57s have recently been sold on to other operators, 57011 being purchased by DRS and painted in their latest blue livery with compass logos.

This model replicates this new livery on the 57 in N gauge.

The Malcolm Rail venture sees heavy lorries taken off the road network as freight is transferred to rail for trunk haulage.

A new N gauge model of the EWS class 67 locomotive is planned by Dapol for release in time for the Warley exhibition in November 2008. This locomotive is a perfect complement to the Dapol class 66s, especially as 67s are frequently now used to deputise for 66s on goods trains. The 67 is possibly more at home on their other regular duty of special passenger trains and previously the network of post and parcels trains.

67 027 named Rising Star is one of two modells announced by Dapol painted in the standard EWS maroon and gold lightning stripe livery.

Dapol have announced that the BRCW type 2, later BR class 26 locomotive models are at an advanced design stage with tooling being designed to allow both the 26/0 and 26/1 design variants to be recreated in N gauge.
The Birmingham Sulzers, classes 26 and 27, will always be closely associated with the Scottish Highland Lines, which are themselves an excellent sources of inspiration for modelling. When built however these locos could be found much farther south, initially working the suburban services around north London during the transition from steam to diesel, moving north to complete that same transition through northern England before arrival at Thurso!

This new model from Dapol will be available in several liveries, including the original green, engineers grey/yellow, Railfreight coal and redstripe liveries and one hopes, rail blue! Maybe that's too obvious a livery to rate a mention on the press release!
The 26 will have the same high specification Platinum drive mechanism and detailing level as the Dapol Hymek. Just like the Hymek the 26 is another iconic small locomotive which can instantly define, or even simply move, your layout location.

Nearing completion of design work in autumn 2008 Dapol will be producing a new, high specification model of the BR class 56, with production expected in 2010. The initial batch is expected to be the first 56 design delivered to BR in 1976 from Romanian builders Electroputere, however Dapol have made it clear that the tooling design will allow accurately detailed Doncaster and Crewe built 56s to be produced for future releases.
Liveries epeceted are BR rail blue, Railfreight grey with red stripe and Railfreight triple-grey coal sector.

All models will feature Dapols' ‘super creep’ motor and low friction mechanism with flywheels. Lighting as standard along with a 6-pin DCC socket and painted cab interiors. An accessory pack will be included, containing further optional detailing parts, eg.air pipes.

This model carries the latest DB Schenker livery applied to 66152 following the purchase of EWS by the German railway company.

EWS class 67 67029 and driving van trailer painted in the special EWS business train silver livery.
These two models are being presented as a pair in a twin pack format.

Painted in this special silver livery for corporate entertainment service with freight carrier EWS the vehicles are also used on other passenger services needing class 67 power, including Royal train duites, resulting in 67029 being named Royal Diamond in 2007. One frequent assignment for the locomotive is as a spare locomotive at Wrexham, hauling Wrexham and Shropshire services when one of the dedicated locomotives are not available. When not needed elsewhere all class 67s are frequently allocated to freight work as EWS try to get the most work out of every loco.
