Graham Farish N DP1 Prototype Deltic Co-Co Diesel Locomotive (372-920)

Model announced 2010

Following on from the NRM commissioned model of the iconic Deltic prototype locomotive Bachmann have received athorisation to produce a model of the locomoitve in N gauge.

Painted in the striking powder blue livery with cream lining the powerful Deltic locomotive toured BRs mainlines in the late 1950s.

Delivering substantially more power than contempary diesel engines Deltic was also considerably lighter, providing startling acceleration and a top speed over 100mph. Follow-on orders came for 22 production locomotives dedicated to the East Coast route, increasing train speeds and replacing over 50 steam locomotives.
