| > N Locomotives > Diesel | Steadily improving models from Dapol and Graham Farish from the early 1950's locomotives to todays heavy freight diesels.
| Graham Farish N BR D1500 Class 47 Two-Tone Green (371-825)
A fully retooled model of the BR class 47,
Replacing the previous Graham Farish 47 this model will bring great detail improvements over the previous model. The updated drive mechaanism will feature the standard 6-pin DCC decoder socket, greatly easing conversion to digital control.
This model represents the class leader D1500 in original condition painted in the 2-tone green livery with half yellow ends..
The class 47, or Brush type 4 was one of BRs most numerous diesel locomotive classes. Any layout from the 1960s onwards will need one or several of these locomotives in its motive power fleet.
This green livery lasted from the class introduction in 1962 until finally replaced by the blue livery during the early 1970s.
D1500 has been preserved in operational condition at the Midland Railway Centre at Butterley, Derbyshire. | |
