An excellent model of the BR class 50 locomotive in refurbished condition. Powered by a centrally mounted motor with drive to all six axles and a heavy diecast chassis these models are easily able to haul realistic trains.
50037 Illustrious is painted in the standard blue livery applied to BR locomotives from the late 1960's until liveries were revised in the mid 1980's.
The heyday of the 50's was on pre-electrification duties on the Euston - Glasgow west coast mainline, making a very impressive site double heading expresses up Shap. | |
