An essential tool for checking the correct positioning of Kadee couplers, this height gauge is a combination test device ensuring that every one of your couplers is setup to the same gauge. This is the original style cast metal gauge now supplied with a standard no.5 coupler and a no.58 HO scale size coupler.

This gauge can be used with Kadee and Bachmann EZmate couplers to ensure reliable coupling and uncoupling.

A single knuckle is fitted which, when the gauge is mounted over the track, is held at the standard height. A vehicle fitted with a knuckle coupler should couple to this knuckle, with the knuckles fully engaged. The trip pin should just clear the tongue below the gauge knuckle as the two knuckles are brought together. Finally a dowel pin is fitted at the back of the gauge which will detect the correct level for Kadee uncoupler magnets.
