The 40 series Kadee metal knuckle couplers are supplied with draft boxes ready for installation beneath the floor of any model not equiped with NEM coupler pockets. A height gauge (Kadee 205) is recommended to ensure the correct mounitng height is achieved.
The No.46 couplers with a centre-set shank will often place the drawbar at the correct height with the draft box attached directly below the headstock/bufferbeam of British OO models.
